The Hermetic tradition teaches that reality operates on universal principles. Akari holds these as seven metaphysical principles used as a framework for understanding consciousness and correspondence — spiritual law, consistent and impersonal, testable in a life but not a claim of laboratory physics.
Historical note: the seven principles in this exact formulation come from The Kybalion, published in 1908 in the Hermetic and New Thought current, not from the ancient Corpus Hermeticum. The older Hermetic writings carry the same spirit — mind as first cause, as above so below — without this numbered list. Akari uses the Kybalion framing because it is clear, and names its date because honesty about provenance costs nothing.

Mentalism
All is Mind
Consciousness is first, not incidental. Mind is the ground existence arises in, which is why what you hold in yours does not stay private — it becomes the shape of what you build. This is not a claim that thought manufactures events. It is a claim about which direction the influence runs.
Correspondence
As Above, So Below
Circumstance influences you. Consciousness influences circumstance. Neither gives you absolute control over reality. Change what is within and you change what you meet the world with, what you notice in it, and what you make of what arrives — which is a great deal, and is not the same as authoring events.
Vibration
Nothing Rests
Nothing rests; everything moves. Hermetic and Akaric teaching speaks of this spiritually — character, love and fear each carry a quality of vibration, and you draw toward you what you emit. This is a metaphysical principle, not a claim about measurable hertz.
Polarity
Everything Has Dual Poles
Light and dark, good and evil, pleasure and pain—all exist on a spectrum. Transform 'Hate' into 'Love' by sliding the mental scale. Master the balance.
Rhythm
Master the Tides
Nothing is static. All moves in cycles—highs and lows, expansion and contraction. Master the rhythm of your emotions so you are not swept away by the tides.
Cause & Effect
Every Action Has a Reaction
Karma, stated exactly. Every action creates a reaction; every thought plants a seed. Akari does not extend this into the claim that you authored everything that has happened to you — abuse, illness, accident and poverty are not verdicts on a person's vibration, and any teaching that says otherwise is cruelty wearing the clothes of law. We cannot always choose what happens to us. We remain responsible for what we build from what happens. Alignment governs what you become through what occurs.

Balance your masculine force (action, protection, clarity) with your feminine force (intuition, creativity, receptivity). All power lies in this balance.
The Akaric Way of Life — Six Domains of Practice
The canon holds one distinction here. The Akaric Code is the Ten Pillars of Alignment — the law itself. The Akaric Way of Life is how that law is lived, gathered into six domains of practice. The six are categories of practice, not a second version of the Code.

- ▪Radical Honesty: Speak truth, for lies create 'Static' in the vibration of the world.
- ▪Accountability: Own your shadow. When you err, correct it immediately.
Self-Mastery
The Inner Alchemist
- ▪Transmutation of Desire: Direct sexual and creative energy toward building, not burning.
- ▪Emotional Discipline: Use anger as a tool for justice, never as a weapon of impulse.
- ▪Mental Guardianship: Be the gatekeeper of your mind. Reject media and habits that dim your light.
- ▪Resilience: Not every obstacle was designed for you. Train anyway, so that what does arrive finds you strong.
Character
The Presence
- ▪Integrity of Being: Be the same person in the dark as you are in the light.
- ▪Intentionality: Do not drift. Every word and movement should have a 'Why.'
- ▪Humility: The cup must be empty to be filled. Stay teachable.
Social Conduct
The Weaver
- ▪Active Empathy: Seek first to understand; your neighbor is another version of yourself.
- ▪The Protector Protocol: Use your strength to shield those experiencing abuse or manipulation.
- ▪Peace-Building: Silence the gossip. Bring stability to chaos.
- ▪Forgiveness with Boundaries: Release the poison of resentment, but do not allow the viper back into the house.
Purpose & Stewardship
The Builder
- ▪Value Creation: Work with excellence. Earn your keep by solving problems and adding beauty.
- ▪Lineage & Legacy: Build a family—biological or chosen—that stands as a fortress of values.
- ▪Social Contribution: You are a cell in the body of humanity. Function for the health of the whole.
Inner Alignment
The Ascension
- ▪Energy Management: Balance your centers (Chakras). Do not let your energy leak into vanity or fear.
- ▪Divine Union: Practice the Christ Consciousness — union with the Source, not identity with it. The child is one with the Father in love and will; the child is not the Father.
- ▪The Flow State: Move in harmony with the Divine Will. Alignment does not bend the world to your preferences; it makes you someone the world cannot easily knock off course.
The Integration
When you understand the Hermetic Laws, you understand why the Akaric Code works. You are aligning yourself with the fundamental laws of existence. Moving with the grain of reality, not against it.
